Tidbits (Washlet)

Tidbits (Washlet)

'Washlet' is an electronic toilet seat with bidet functions usually attached on a toilet, we think you have already knew. 'Washlet' is a brand name but we think it's already a common noun for general Japanese. For example, one of other blands is called 'Shower-toilet' but these are the same ones.

An electronic toilet seat is a really wonderful equipment. But if you are non-native Japanese, it may not be tractable and you can't find its excellence. We suppose the cause of this is icons on the controller of it are written in only Japanese. Especially for your first time, you'll feel uneasy, so we try to give an outline for using it. The following descriptions can't solve whole questions you have. However, some of them would help your understanding.

It needs no repetition here, 'Washlet' is an electronic toilet seat attached on a toilet and it helps cleansing your behind or your private part. This product was mainly invented for comfortable cleansing after your BMs. There is a bidet already, but when you use it, you have to use your hand directly to achieve the purpose. However, this new one moves automatically and cozily and you need not get your hands wet. If you try it once, you can't live without it.

If we have to explain something about 'Washlet', we say that we use both this equipment and toilet paper. And we think we use it subsidiarily. Some people use only it and a warm current of air. We don't know the proper way to use. We suppose it would be written in the manual book. However, English version of it would be rearly installed in your hotel's bathroom.

First of all, the action sitting on the toilet seat is the key to start every activity this equipment can do. If you don't, nothing can move. But at the same time, you seat it not taking off your undergarment and touch a switch, you may be surprised with sudden unexpected situation.
